🧠 EDUCATIONAL INITIATIVES TO COMBAT DISCRIMINATION: TALKING ABOUT HIV/AIDS
In the period up to 2022, the youth councils of railway workers implemented a number of educational and preventive measures on HIV/AIDS. The main goal is to overcome discrimination in the workplace and raise awareness among employees.
📌 Every year, on World AIDS Day, information sessions are held at enterprises, organized by young trade unionists with the participation of specialists, doctors and trainers trained in cooperation with the ICF Alliance for Public Health.
✅ Participants of the events will learn
- how to prevent HIV infection;
- why health discrimination is a human rights violation;
- where to get free testing or get help.
🧪 Employees are given free rapid tests, information leaflets, guidelines and post-exposure prophylaxis products. Attention is also paid to prevention among young people – students of specialized railway educational institutions are regularly involved in educational meetings.
